Gold · Moitinhos, Ílhavo
Sociedade de Pré-Esforçados de Aveiro, founded in 1966: it manufactures light and heavy precast concrete and ready-mixed concrete.
About the company
It was founded in 1966 by Eng. João Monteiro da Conceição, his son Eng. João Chartres Monteiro, Eng. Celso Albuquerque and Dr. Tomás Oliveira Dias, and pioneered prestressed lightweight floor systems in Portugal, such as joists, battens and profiles. In 2001 it was acquired by the Mário Almeida Group.
It produces light precast (masonry, slabs and roofs, roads and urban development, sanitation and infrastructure), heavy precast (prefabricated buildings, bridges, maritime and railway works) and ready-mixed concrete (structural, special and architectural) from two batching plants.
It follows each project from design to production, transport, precast assembly in Portugal and Spain, and concrete pumping. Its factory production control has been certified since 2013, and it has its own testing laboratory.
